I directed some school projects while attending college/Film school. They were class assignments and I graduated over 3 years ago….
If the school projects did not end up being used professionally where you made money then they are not considered “directing professionally” and you are eligible to enter as long as you fit all of the entry requirements and the work that you enter was completed within 15 months of the NDS entry deadline.
I submitted my entry and payment online, just confirming there is no additional paperwork or hard copies needed?
Not during the search but if selected you will be contacted by the Editors of SHOOT, at which point they will let you know what they need from you next.
One of the works I’m submitting (a spot) does not start airing until the end of April. Would the spot be circulated to anyone besides the judges during the judging period?
Whether a video work is selected or not, no videos get public view until Mid-May event on DGA event night then on SHOOTonline, etc.after the DGA Showcase Event.
I want to enter the New Directors showcase (category 1) for a TV spot I directed. Can I submit a directors cut or does it need to be the official spot that aired?

Of course you need to also complete the entry form. Nothing more.

No. Only official entries and properly submitted work(s) are considered for NDS selection.
