I have never directed any type of advertising or entertainment professionally but I have been self funding and making my shorts since 2010. Does this disqualify me to enter ‘The New Directors Search’?

You’re not disqualified unless you you received payment(s) from any professional company/organization for any work you directed prior to 3 years back and/or received payments for showing any work you directed prior to 3 years back. In other words, receiving payment for your work prior to 3 years back disqualifies you.
